Frustration over lane markings on I-90

John Bondi is frustrated with the condition of the lanes on I-90 eastbound beyond the East Channel Bridge.

He says over the years construction on the lanes of I-90 eastbound have changed - making them hard to see.

"Particularly in the early morning sunrise time the lanes are extremely difficult to discern. This is a congested area anyway and the poor markings lead to a very dangerous situation," Bondi writes.

The Washington Department of Transportation says the past few years, they've made improvements to make the lanes more visible. Like adding black raised pavement markings on the interstate

But it's common for those markings to become loose and WSDOT says they're monitoring the area and when they notice a number of them missing they get replaced. Good news - some were replaced Monday night.
