CHP and Fresno Fire see amazing things on a daily basis and are rarely surprised by anything.

But they were surprised when responding to a crash on Thursday.

A woman driving in western Fresno County says a dog ran out in front of her, and she lost control of her car when she swerved to avoid hitting it.

The car rolled through a metal fence and landed back on its wheels.

When emergency crews got there, they saw a 10 foot metal fence posts had impaled the car.

The post went through the back door on the driver's side, through a child seat and out the passenger side and into the rear tire.

There was a baby in the car seat at the time but amazingly, the child did not get hurt, even though the post went right through the car seat.

The baby was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

One CHP officer said God was watching over the child.
