YAKIMA, Wash. - A 13-year-old girl has been arrested after police said she stabbed two other girls with an unidentified sharp object in a church parking lot.

Yakima police spokesperson Mike Bastinelli said the 13-year-old arranged, via social media, to fight a 14-year-old girl in a parking lot at 3902 Summitview Avenue in Yakima around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

The two began to physically fight while friends watched.

Police said the 14-year-old victim received scratches after the 13-year-old attacked her with a sharp object. It is unclear if the attacker brought the object with her or if she found it in the parking lot.

The victim's sister, who was witnessing the fight, then stepped in and was also stabbed in the area of her hand and wrist, police said.

The sisters were taken to a local hospital and have since been released, according to reports.

Police arrested the 13-year-old and booked her for investigation of second-degree assault.
