LAKEWOOD, Wash. — A woman was shot multiple times Friday night at the Best Value Inn in Lakewood.
The first call came into police at 7:40 p.m. When officers arrived they found an adult woman with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. She was conscious and transported to Madigan Hospital.
The male suspect left on foot. K-9 officers were brought in and searched for the suspect. He has not been located and police believe the male is still armed.
According to Lakewood Police Public Information Officer Chris Lawler, the shooter is known to the woman and police know who they are looking for. No photo is available at this time.
Witnesses say the couple had been staying at the hotel and were often heard fighting. Their fight Friday night spilled out to the parking lot, where the woman was then shot.
