3 safe after home threatened by garage fire in Seattle
SEATTLE -- Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a 2-alarm fire in a detached garage that threatened a home in Seattle's Rainier View neighborhood early Thursday morning.
The Seattle Fire Department responded just after 2 a.m. to the home in the 11200 block of Beacon Ave S. and initially thought the fire in the garage could spread to the nearby home where three people were still inside.
All three inside escaped safely and the home sustained damage to its exterior, but it never spread inside the home.
Meanwhile, the garage was heavily damaged.
No firefighters were injured during the response. The residents were allowed back into their home.
