State suspends license of nurse accused of child rape
BURLINGTON, Wash. -- The state Health Department has suspended the registered nurse license of Cale Enos, who is accused of child rape.
Burlington police arrested Enos two months ago after a woman came forward and alleged that he had raped her 5-year-old daughter.
Enos has posted bail and is awaiting trial.
Health Department documents show Enos was issued his nursing credentials in 2006 and most recently worked at Island Hospital in Anacortes.
KOMO News also learned he worked for St. Joseph Medical Center in Bellingham for nine years. He resigned in November 2015 after getting another job.
Enos declined to comment Friday.
He has 20 days to respond to the Health Department.
Burlington police say officers aren't aware of any other alleged victims.
