South Kitsap High School evacuated due to bomb threat
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. - South Kitsap High School has been evacuated Monday morning due to a bomb threat, school officials said.
An urgent notice sent out by the school district said all students at the high school will be sent home via bus or their own vehicles.
"All are safe. We are working with law enforcement to clear building for tomorrow," said the notice, posted on Facebook and Twitter.
The district said all after-school activities are also canceled for Monday.
The evacuation comes 11 days after the school went into lockdown after an earlier threat to "shoot up" the campus was posted on Facebook.
South Kitsap High School, located in Port Orchard, has 2,800 students.
