Dive team recovers missing man from Lake Goodwin
STANWOOD, Wash. -- A dive team from the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Saturday found and recovered a 52-year-old man believed to have drowned in Lake Goodwin.
The Sheriff's Office says the man was reported to have been ejected from the boat just before midnight. The operator of the boat, a 58-year-old Stanwood man, may have been intoxicated and could face charges of homicide by watercraft, the Sheriff's Office says.
The dive team searched until 3:30 a.m. Saturday and searched throughout the day again Saturday afternoon and evening.
The boat launch at Wenberg Park was closed due to the search but has since reopened.
The Sheriff's Office says detectives and the Medical Examiner's Office are investigating.
