Mudslide cancels special north Sounder train

SEATTLE -- Sound Transit says a mudslide has canceled a special event train on Sounder north. The train was to take fans to the Seattle Sounders' home opener Sunday against the New York Red Bulls.

Amtrak service between Edmonds and Everett also has been disrupted. There is a 48-hour moratorium on using the tracks. Monday morning commuters will need to find an alternative transportation.

If no other slides occur, service is expected to resume Tuesday morning.

To Seattle

Everett Station - ST Express Route 512 from Bay C1.

Mukilteo Station – Community Transit Route 113 from Hwy 525 & Front St. to Lynnwood Transit Center. Transfer to ST Express Route 512.

Edmonds Station - Community Transit Route 116 from Bay 1 to Lynnwood Transit Center. Transfer to ST Express Route 512.

After the Match

Everett Station – Take ST Express Route 512 from 4th Ave S & S. Jackson St.

Mukilteo Station – Take ST Express Route 512 from 4th Ave S & S. Jackson St. to Lynnwood TC. Transfer to Community Transit Route 113 at Bay 3.

Edmonds Station - Take ST Express Route 512 from 4th Ave S & S. Jackson St. to Lynnwood TC. Transfer to Community Transit Route 116 at Bay 2.
