Man, woman injured overnight in downtown Seattle crash
SEATTLE - A man and woman were rushed to the hospital after a two-car crash in downtown Seattle overnight.
Police and medics responded to the scene, near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Pike Street, at about 2:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious accident.
When they arrived on scene, they found that two vehicles had crashed, and one of them had also slammed into a pole, said a Seattle Fire Department spokesperson.
A man and woman were injured in the car that hit the pole. Both were extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, where they were listed in stable condition.
The driver of the other vehicle did not require hospitalization.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
