Man struck by car, seriously injured outside Lacey
LACEY, Wash. - A man was struck by a car and seriously injured Saturday morning as he was walking along a roadway in the Lacey area of Thurston County, emergency officials said.
Deputies and medics responded to the scene, in the area of Old Pacific Highway SE and Kuhlman Road SE. at about 7:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian.
The male pedestrian was found at the scene with traumatic injuries. He was treated at the scene by medics from Lacey Fire District 3 and rushed to St. Peter Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
No other information was immediately available about the victim.
Deputies with the Thurston County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
It's unclear at this time whether charges will be filed.
