Eastern Wash. city to host 2017 International Bigfoot Conference
KENNEWICK, Wash. - Anyone interested in learning more about the legendary Bigfoot will have the opportunity to attend a conference on Labor Day weekend.
The International Bigfoot Conference is being held Sept. 1 to 3 at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick for the second year in a row, according to a press release from the event director.
Several speakers are scheduled to give presentations at this family-friendly event, including Cliff Barackman, co-host of "Finding Bigfoot"; Bob Gimlin, who was involved in the infamous Patterson-Gimlin film about Bigfoot; and many others.
The speakers will present the latest information and research about the legendary creature, also known as Sasquatch, which some people believe inhabits remote mountainous areas in the Pacific Northwest.
Organizers said guests will also get a chance to take a photo with a Bigfoot mockup.
Three-day passes for the International Bigfoot Conference are $45 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under. A portion of the proceeds will go to support military families.
Those interested in purchasing tickets can go to the conference website.
