Buses on reduced schedule for MLK Jr. Day; reroutes around march
The first week of the viaduct closure has passed with less chaos than prophesied, but that doesn't mean it's going to stay like this, especially when a holiday is in the middle of it all.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Day is a federal holiday, so there won't be as many commuters. But, almost all bus routes will be affected on Monday, as King County Metro will stick to their reduced weekday and University of Washington reduction schedules to honor the holiday.
Some buses will also be rerouted during the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., routes 11 and 49 will be rerouted as the intersection of Fourth Avenue and Pike Street may be blocked.
Canceled routes will include 201, 237, 304, 308, 316, 330, 355, 661 and 930.
