Brush fire that threatened homes near Rochester now under control
NEAR ROCHESTER, Wash. - Several families were briefly evacuated Wednesday after fast-moving brush fire broke out near Rochester.
The fire started just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday near Kuper Court SW, and 201st Ave SW, just west of Interstate 5.
At one point, several homes were threatened.
It took about an hour for crews to get the fire under control.
The area is just miles away from where another brush fire broke out on Monday. That fire burned three to five acres and destroyed one outbuilding.
