2 arrested in Port Orchard woman's overdose death
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. - A man and woman have been arrested in connection with the overdose death of a Port Orchard woman in April, Kitsap County sheriff's officials said.
Both are suspected of providing the victim, Heather Marion-Santos, 43, with narcotics that caused her to die of acute heroin and methamphetamine intoxication, the officials said.
In a prepared statement, the Sheriff's Office says that the 33-year-old male suspect is currently in custody in Thurston County and will be brought to Kitsap County when he is released.
The 19-year-old female suspect was arrested Sunday by Bremerton police after an incident at a local store. She also is being held on a Department of Corrections escape warrant. Her first court appearance is Monday.
Both suspects are being held for investigation of controlled substance homicide.
