1 killed, 1 injured in gunfight outside Everett-area bar
EVERETT, Wash. - One man is dead and another injured after an altercation and gunfight outside an Everett-area bar early Saturday, sheriff's officials said.
The drama unfolded at about 2 a.m. outside O'Finnigan's Pub & Grill in the 13600 block of Highway 99, said Shari Ireton of the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
Witnesses reported that there was an altercation between patrons. A 29-year-old man left the bar, grabbed a gun from his vehicle and began firing shots in the parking lot, injuring one of the bar customers.
A 28 year-old male employee of the bar who was armed then shot and killed the suspect, Ireton said.
Police and medics quickly arrived on scene. The customer who was injured by gunfire was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and is expected to recover.
No arrests have been made at this time and this incident remains under investigation, Ireton said.
