Scott Carty on 'The Lego Batman Movie,' 'John Wick,' 'Fifty Shades Darker'

Three movies will battle for box office bucks this weekend and they couldn’t be more different from each other.

For absolutely brilliant creativity, I highly recommend "The Lego Batman Movie", starring the dry wit voice of Will Arnett as Bruce Wayne and Batman. It’s animated and loaded with LEGO bricks. Plus, a long list of stars doing the voices, Rosario Dawson, Zach Galifinakis, Michael Cera, Jenny Slate and even Mariah Carey.

If you saw "John Wick" last year and welcomed Keanu Reeves back to the big screen, you’re in luck for an action-packed sequel this weekend. "John Wick: Chapter 2" is rated R and loaded with guns, killing and plenty of thrilling action to increase your heart rate for Valentine’s weekend.

But the movie that already has hearts racing is the second film in the "Fifty Shades" trilogy, "Fifty Shades Darker," It picks up with a more confident Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) and a more vulnerable Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan). "Fifty Shades Darker" is steamier than the first film, but it’s still a more elaborate soap opera. There are plenty of moments that deliver intended laughs, too, making it a frisky and fun viewing for the truest of fans.
