Alfa Romeo’s newest car, the Giulia, has finally arrived in the U.S. to the delight of auto enthusiasts across the nation. It hasn’t taken long for this rear-wheel-drive sports sedan to become a crowd favorite, and the vehicle’s impressive list of features makes it easy to see why.
A Ferrari-inspired engine
Rather than relying on the Compact U.S. Wide platform used on the Dodge Dart and Chrysler 200, the Giulia Quadrifoglio is powered by a twin-turbochared 2.9-liter V-6 engine of Ferrari lineage.
The Giulia Quadrifoglio’s top speed of 191 mph surpasses its closest competitor by a good 11mph. With 505-hp, this sedan can go from 0 to 60 mph in only 3.8-seconds and offers 443-lb-ft of torque between 2,500 and 5,500-RPM.
Four different drive modes
The Alfa Romero D.N.A. drive mode selector allows the driver to choose between Dynamic, Natural, Advanced Efficiency and Race settings. Natural is ideal for everyday use, Dynamic delivers near-instant accelerator response and reduced gearshift times while Advanced Efficiency maximizes energy savings.
Race is, of course, the most extreme option. By activating the overboost function, it allows for increased torque limits and offers the highest level of accelerator response.
The first ever front splitter
A carbon fiber spoiler integrated into the lower fascia on the front of the Giulia automatically adjusts, closing to cut resistance on straights and opening up on curves to provide up to 220 pounds of downforce for optimum balance.
Those seeking the elegance of Italian craftsmanship won’t be disappointed in the execution of the Giulia Quadrifoglio, the top-tier trim level. From its sleek body and contrast stitching to the suede-like Alcantara covering the seats, the Giulia embodies the passion, sophistication and unrivaled performance beloved by devotees of Alfa Romeo.
